🔼 Queen’s Honor. Maryland men’s hoops’ Derik Queen is seen as one of the best players in the country — the big man has been named to the Wooden Award Watch List!
The list is composed of 25 student-athletes in contention for the Wooden Award All-American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award.

🔼 Back And Forth. No. 8 Maryland women’s basketball’s game against No. 4 USC lived up to the hype on Wednesday, with the Terps and Trojans battling back and forth all night. USC ended up on top, 79-74.
Shyanne Sellers led the Terps in scoring with 26 points, while Christina Dalce stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks and three steals. Kaylene Smikle scored 16 points, and Saylor Poffenbarger pulled down 17 rebounds and scored five points.

🔼 Let’s Play. Maryland women’s lacrosse has announced its 2025 schedule, with over half of its games coming against teams who finished last season in the top 25 of the IWLCA poll.

🔼 Finding Her Passion. Field hockey wasn’t Carrie Hanks’ first love — it was more of a slow burn for the Albany, N.Y. native, who grew up playing basketball, lacrosse and swimming.
Eventually she joined a club field hockey team, playing a significant role for the group. The rest is history, as Hanks would go on to an All-American career with the Terps.
