🔼 Baker’s Dozen. No. 8 Maryland women’s basketball moved to 13-0 on Thursday thanks to a dominant 78-61 win over Rutgers at XFINITY Center.
Shyanne Sellers put together her best performance of the season, scoring 22 points and pulling down eight rebounds. Allie Kubek (17 points) and Kaylene Smikle (13 points) also scored in double figures.

🔼 Late Night. No. 24 Maryland men’s hoops fell on the road late on Thursday night, 75-69, at Washington.
In a second half that featured nine instances where the game was tied, Washington converted an and-one to go up by four points at 62-58 with under five minutes to play. The Huskies remained in control the rest of the way, as DJ Davis's 3-pointer put the Huskies back up by four at 67-63. They then closed the game out from the free-throw line.

🔼 Sticking Around. Legendary Maryland field hockey head coach Missy Meharg has signed a contract extension through Dec. 31, 2028, Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics Damon Evans announced Thursday.
Meharg, who completed her 37th season as head coach at Maryland this past fall, has led her Terrapin squads to a record of 655-172-9 for a 78.9 winning percentage, 20 Final Fours, 12 NCAA title game appearances and seven NCAA Championships. The nine-time National Coach of the Year has also led the Terrapins to 27 conference titles between their time in the ACC and the Big Ten.
🔼 Upstate Slate. Maryland wrestling will be in Albany, N.Y. this weekend, competing at the Armbar at the Armory on Sunday.
The Terps have slated matchups against Binghamton, Columbia and Lock Haven starting at 11:30 a.m.
