🔼 Furthering The Future. The University of Maryland Athletic Department and Terrapin Club has received a $10 million philanthropic commitment in support of Maryland Men's Basketball, Damon Evans, the Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics announced.

The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, hopes to inspire others who share a vision for athletic excellence to follow their philanthropic lead by further supporting Maryland Athletics and the Terrapin Club.

🔼 Leading From The Front. In a pair of wins last week for Maryland men’s basketball, Julian Reese averaged 20.5 points and 13.5 rebounds while shooting nearly 55 percent from the field.

For his work, Reese has been named the Naismith Men’s College Basketball Player of the Week!

🔼 Tough To Take Down. How good has 157-pounder Ethen Miller been for Maryland wrestling? Miller, ranked No. 6 in his weight class, has won each of his first 16 matches this season!

🔼 Best Of The Week. For the third time already this season, Maryland’s Derik Queen is the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week!

Queen averaged 16 points and 8.5 rebounds in a pair of wins over No. 17 Illinois and Indiana this past week, the first two true road victories of the season for the Terps.

Under Armour has produced limited edition merchandise available exclusively for new members of the One Maryland Collective. The merchandise features a vintage logo that will be exclusive to Under Armour.

The “Terrapin Throwback” initiative was inspired by Coach Locksley, who last year started wearing one-of-a-kind hoodies featuring vintage marks. The unique hoodies were quickly noticed on social media and message boards, and demand quickly mounted.

🔼 Timeless Tradition. Maryland men’s basketball’s pregame is full of rituals — one of the catchier ones is the song played as the Terps run out of the tunnel right before tipoff.

The song, “Gold Rush” by Mawty Maw, represents a tradition that has grown into one of the greatest in all of college basketball.
