📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Going For Seconds. University of Maryland junior catcher Luke Shliger, junior right-handed pitcher Jason Savacool, and senior infielder Nick Lorusso were each selected on Day Two of the MLB Draft yesterday. This marks the first time since 2015 that Maryland baseball has had four selections in the top-10 rounds of the MLB Draft and it’s the first time in program history that it has had four selections in the top-nine rounds.

🔼 Now You See Me. For the second year in a row, Maryland Made took a group of Maryland student-athletes on a career exposure tour, giving them ample opportunities to learn new skills and experience different professions. This year, the group traveled to Atlanta and met with organizations in sports, business and healthcare industries.

🔼 No. 44. The Maryland women’s basketball family mourns the passing of all-time Terrapin great Tara Heiss. The Women's Basketball Hall of Famer led Maryland to their first ACC championship and the 1978 AIAW Final Four. She set the program record for assists with 504, scored 1,350 career points, and was the first Terrapin to score 1,000 career points.

She went on to play for USA Basketball in 1979 and 1980 and was named to the 1980 US Olympic Team—also playing on USA teams that competed in the R. William Jones Cup, World Championship, Pan American Games, and World University Games in 1979, garnering three golds and one silver.

🔼 Roman Reigns. We’re just 53 days away from Terps football kicking off their season and thought now was the best time to celebrate Roman Hemby’s 5.3 yards per carry last season.

🎥 Watch Roman Hemby’s three-touchdown day last year. (Go on, we won’t judge—we’ve already seen it a dozen times in a row this morning.)

🤔 TERPS TRIVIA

First time, long time. Speaking of Maryland running backs—Roman Hemby’s 989 yards on the ground was the most for a Terp since 2018.

Our question today—who was that running back?
