Terrapin Brew 3/30: Resume Building
Today, we're running and jumping in hopes of finding a job.
The Official Daily Newsletter For Maryland Athletics
Good morning! The 14 football players at Maryland's annual Pro Day weren't wearing neck ties, but it was a job interview nonetheless.
We here at the Brew have never been asked to run 40 yards as fast as we can... or bench press 225 pounds until we can't anymore... and we think that's for the best. Our athleticism belongs behind a desk.
What all can you find in today's Brew?

🐢 And much, much more!
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Pro Preview. The Terps looking for an opportunity in the NFL showed out at yesterday's Pro Day.
There were 14 total participants, who ran through drills for 63 NFL scouts who were in attendance.
Deonte Banks, a likely first round pick, did not participate in yesterday's drills, but that hasn't hurt him at all in the eyes of NFL Draft analysts across the country. In ESPN's most recent mock draft, the Terp is projected to go to the Detroit Lions with the 18th overall selection.
Stay tuned all spring for football photo galleries, interviews, highlights, and more!
🔼 Victory Winsday. A dozen first half goals ended up being all Maryland women's lacrosse needed in Wednesday night's matchup against No. 17 Princeton, winning by a 15-11 final.
Libby May, Eloise Clevenger, and Hannah Leubecker combined to score 12 goals and 17 total points, while Kori Edmondson contributed with two goals as well.
Maryland's road doesn't get any easier from here, with a date against No. 14 Michigan coming up this weekend.
🔼 Schlotterbeck Show. Maryland softball's Trinity Schlotterbeck was the story of the night in Maryland's 10-0 win over Maryland Eastern Shore yesterday.
Schlotterbeck finished with three hits, two that left the yard, and added six RBI and three runs scored. Oh, and she also pitched, throwing one inning of scoreless ball and striking out a pair.
Kiley Goff, Jaeda McFarland, and Sammi Woods also recorded RBIs in the game.
🔼 Year Of Young. Maryland men's basketball's Jahmir Young announced that he and his 15.8 points per game will return to College Park next year.
The Second-Team All-Big Ten selection will enter the 2023-2024 season as one of the best returning players in the Big Ten, and needs just 26 points to surpass 2,000 in his career.
The return of Jahmir Young, along with several other key contributors and a top-15 recruiting class, gives the Terps even more momentum coming out of Coach Kevin Willard's first year at the helm.
🤔 TERPS TRIVIA
One of few. Maryland's Jahmir Young is in rarified air.
Over his career, first at Charlotte and now Maryland, he's tallied more than 1,900 points, 600 rebounds, and 350 assists. Not many active players can claim those numbers.
So, that got us thinking... how many current players do have those career numbers?
Think you got it? Scroll on down to the bottom of this email for the answer!
🐢 ONE BIG THING
Maryland football head coach Mike Locksley will be leaning on the culture of his program this spring to maintain the characteristics that have built it into a winner.
Locksley is constantly looking for leaders, and believes he has quite a few in his locker room. It shows a trajectory within the program that should excite everyone cheering on the Terps.
