🔼 Third Time’s The Charm. Maryland men’s lacrosse is returning to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game for the third year in a row (and sixth time in history) after beating host Johns Hopkins by a score of 14-9 last night at Homewood Field. Third-seeded and seventh-ranked Terrapins will take on No. 4-seeded and No. 15-ranked Michigan in the title game on Saturday at 5:30pm ET, which airs on Big Ten Network.
In the 119th meeting between long-time rivals, Owen Murphy recorded his 11th career hat trick while Jack Brennan, Braden Erksa, Ryan Siracusa, and Zach Whittier all scored two goals.
🔼 Why Not Both? Second-seeded and 10th-ranked Maryland scored the game's first eight goals and defeated sixth-seeded and 23rd-ranked Rutgers, 15-9 in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals to advance to the 2023 Championship Game.
The Terps will take on No. 1-seeded and No. 1-ranked Northwestern on Saturday, May 6 at 8:00pm ET in Columbus, Ohio in the title game that will air on Big Ten Network. The defending Big Ten Champion Terps will be vying for their fifth Big Ten title winning in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022. Maryland will be playing in its seventh Big Ten Tournament Championship game in a row.
Eloise Clevenger had a career-high tying four goals—all in a row over a span of 11:28 bridging the first and second quarters. Libby May had her 11th hat trick of the season. Shaylan Ahearn and Shannon Smith scored two goals apiece.
Chrissy Thomas had a career-high six assists as part of a career-high tying seven-point game. That assist total is the second-highest in a Big Ten Tournament game ever.
🔼 Seventh Heaven. Maryland baseball brings Big Ten play back to The Bob for a three-game series against Nebraska starting tonight. All three games are available on B1G+ and the Maryland Baseball Network. The Terps meet the Cornhuskers for the 14th time overall and fifth three-game series all-time. The two program have not met in over two years with the Cornhuskers taking two-of-three games in both 2018 and 2021.
Nebraska comes into the weekend after winning their most series against Minnesota, exploding offensively with four home runs (including two from Max Anderson) and defeating the Golden Gophers 18-0.
The Cornhuskers are led at the plate by a pair of junior infielders, Max Anderson and Brice Matthews. The two currently sit first and second on the team in batting average, hits, home runs, RBI and slugging percentage.
🔼 Take The Fight Out Of ‘Em. Maryland softball is (Willie Nelson voice) on the road again… to travel to Illinois for their final Big Ten series of the regular season. The Terps will begin the series against the Fighting Illini tonight on the Big Ten Network at 5:30pm ET, and they’ll be looking to improve on the last time they met in 2021 when they split a two-game series.
One of the biggest reasons we think that happens? Maryland has 28 home runs on the season so far, already surpassing last season’s home run total of 17. Amelia Lech has been powering the offense with 14 of those home runs.
🔭 Player To Watch: Freshman pitcher Keira Bucher currently leads the nation in saves with 11 on the season. She is one save away from breaking the Big Ten all-time record.
🎁 BANK ON IT
It's better to give than receive, but it's even better when you get to do both.

SECU is Maryland’s largest credit union with 25 financial centers throughout the state and 50,000+ free ATMs nationwide. Isn’t it time you made the switch? Bank proudly!
🤔 TERPS TRIVIA
Going 100. With the Terps scoring 10 or more runs for the seventh straight game in their midweek clash with Delaware, it was the first time in school history that the team had won seven games in a row scoring at least 10 runs.
And they did it in style.
Maryland also hit another milestone that game, knocking their 100th home run out of the park as a team. Do you remember who hit that dinger?

🐢 ONE BIG THING
A picture is a thousand words. So, this must be worth a couple million. With the start of May, take a (short) trip back in time and browse April’s photo gallery to see what’s been happening on campus recently.
